Here's my official entry for SONY's "Skin a TRiK" Contest.
I really love music. I'm not picky when it comes to genres. It keeps me inspired and motivated when doing my art.
Anyway, I bring you, "TRiK dA WrLD!" Showing that music is not limited within walls, but also extends to nature, and the world as a whole.
Took me around 15 hours. No brushes. Everything vectored from scratch. Done in Photoshop. I used references of course. It's hard to detail objects when you don't really know what they look like up close. >__<
Anyway, the most important thing is that I enjoyed doing it. Win or lose, it's worth it.
Note: Image resized. The file was too big... Original template size (24in x 8in, 300dpi, plain white background) available upon request.
EDIT (Aug.8'10): I didn't make it. Oh well. Congratulations to the winners. Although I honestly think that there are way better entries that some of those who made it. Seriously. --
indeed, that is the most important thing when doing art. and this is awesome!!! I especially like the sun with earphones X3 Wait... everyone had earphones... WOW SO COOL!!!! even the bees!! ^_^ btw, next to eiffel tower is mt fuji or the mt everest? and so many famous buildings!!!!! even the SFbridge!!! or is it the one from NY?
an awesome piece, dude. This awesomeness level in just 15h... amazing!
hmm, very nice. design is really good and the color choice is fitting. I can't really give a decent viewpoint, except...I'd be one to use this for my Ipod speaker...just need a few adjustments...then..it might work...*runs off to get printer, paper and scissors*
I have to say it, it's the best i had seen so far. I love the look and first impression, but when you look closer you see how nature and city is mixed with the music and it turns a lot better closer. I love the colors also.
But just the sea side turn the concept a little weird, but just a little. By the way the Sun looks awesome.
Interesting. It's really well done, but I don't quite think it captures the whole "world" concept. It focuses too much on nature, I'd say. I mean, nature is a pretty huge part, but not the only part. The city/day and night rhing is pretty cool too, but it could've been better. Like... What if you mixed monuments from around the world in with the city? And make the city buildings look like different buildings? Otherwise... It kinna feels a tad generic.
Hey this is awesome!!!!I love everything out there.....which vector program did u use??? Even i wanna participate but i dont have the tools...so m planning to use a vector one....Jus wanna try ...i know i stand no chance ...lol
